Remember to turn your clock BACK one hour Saturday night and enjoy an extra hour of sleep or a second cup of coffee before leaving for church!
As we return to more normal worship we are in need of additional LEMs and acolytes. If you are willing to serve in either capacity, please let Pattie know so she can arrange a training session with you.
The Church Christmas Project under the direction of the Mission and Outreach Committee needs the following items: crayons, colored pencils, pens, coloring books, flash cards, games, stickers, playdoh, Christmas ornaments individually wrapped, wrapping paper, tape, dish towels, washcloths, tooth brushes, toothpaste, small size personal items, mugs, brownie mix. Any of those items that you can furnish will be greatly appreciated. Boxes are provided just inside the front door of the church for all donations made either November 7 or 14th.
We are planning to give blankets out again this year. If you have gently used, clean blankets that you can donate, those, too, will be much appreciated. We are looking for twin and larger size blankets.
The Christmas Project will allow the folks who are clients of the Food Pantry to stop by CCL for a blanket and gift bags to make their Christmas a little warmer and a little brighter. It certainly made the people who helped with this project last year feel the warmth and brightness of the season!
Another way to celebrate Christmas is to help our Sunday School children support the Girl Scout troop that Madeleine and Sabrina Metzler are in with their project of making and filling stockings for children at LAWS and for senior citizens at a local assisted living facility. You can find their wish list at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/1s/3HJDUT1ZB2UBS. Items can be shipped directly to Natalie Metzler or she will pick them up from the church.
The calendar of events for Advent Wednesdays and Adult Forum on Sunday, Dec 5 and 12 is available on the back table. We hope you will join us for the various activities.
The new signup sheet for providing refreshments is on the back table. Just remember to prepare food items in single serve containers in keeping with the virus protocol.
