The CCL Advent Calendar is spectacular. Thanks so much for sharing your memories and an even bigger thank you to Jane Lodge for editing and sending the daily messages via email. It’s a fun way to stay connected with our church family.
And how was your Thanksgiving celebration? Anna shared last Sunday during the “Zoom Fellowship” that she had sent her daughters and Kurt’s daughter a list of food items that she was willing to prepare ahead of time and they could select what they wanted her to fix to add to their holiday meals. The girls selected, Anna prepared, and she and Kurt (with masks on) delivered the food to each family on Thanksgiving Eve giving everyone a chance to get together (at a proper distance) to create a special memory. I would love to hear from others of you how you were able to make a change from a “normal” Thanksgiving to the 2020 variety.
Take a look at your Bible. Did you know it is the world’s all-time best-seller? It is God’s way of communicating with us. From it you find out that God created you and He loves you. In fact, He loves you so much that He sent Jesus to earth so that we could see what God is like in person. And we learn that Jesus is coming back to earth again in the future. Read it. If you read it, believe it. If you believe it, live it. Here’s a suggestion that you might follow: Make a daily habit of reading the chapter in Proverbs that corresponds to the current date. Turn to one of Paul’s epistles and read a chapter each day. When you finish reading all of them, start over again and you’ll see something you missed the first time. Don’t forget to appreciate the poetry of the Psalms. Happy reading!
