This Sunday, October 4, we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis.  We have traditionally held outdoor worship with pets in our laps or at our feet on this day.  Once, due to bad weather, we had the pets inside the church on the pews or under the pews depending on their level of comfort!  Our little furry (or feathered) friends are such a part of our lives and this is a meaningful service where each animal is blessed by name.  It will be quite different this year since we will be doing the blessing virtually.  We will go around the “Hollywood Squares” and ask each owner to say the name of the pet and a blessing will be given.
