Palm Sunday—April 14, 9:30 am
We will, of course, celebrate Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem with palms and Holy Communion. This service will begin outside the church. Rev. Gail Epes celebrant. Kurt will provide the message.

Maundy Thursday, April 18—Pot luck supper, washing of hands and celebration of the last supper- 7pm in the church.
Join us for this unique service that begins with the breaking of bread and fellowship as we respond to Jesus’ ‘new commandment’ that ‘you love one another, just as I have loved you…’ (Maundy comes from mandatum, meaning commission or order) and ends with all of us participating in the ‘stripping of the altar’ which takes place in the dark and is done in silence. As a gesture of responding to this new mandate we will wash each other’s hands before we have our meal. Please bring a small food item to share.
After stripping the altar, we will depart the church in silence.

Good Friday, Friday April 19
The church will be open for private silent prayer from 12noon to 3pm. Each hour on the hour we will read the passion narrative.

Then we will join six other churches in a vigil of the stations of the cross in downtown Leesburg starting at 6pm at the Presbyterian Church. Our parish will read, and the choir will sing, at the sixth station at approximately 7:20 for those that don’t want to walk but do want to participate by meeting us at our station. In addition Kurt’s house, which is down the street from the town green, will be open if you wish to come early and then walk down the street to ‘our station at the right time.’

Easter Sunday, Sunday April 21
We will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with Holy Communion, 9:30am; Rev. Gail Epes celebrant, Kurt will provide the message.
