Fr. Kirtley's Reflection 5-4-2023

THANK YOU, CHRIST CHURCH LUCKETTS

I wish to express my utmost thanks and deepest appreciation for your warm Welcome and ongoing ministry we share together in Christ Jesus our Lord. Our mutual celebration of The Renewal of Ministry last Sunday afternoon was truly a very emotional experience for me and one that I will deeply cherish for the remainder of my life. For God has brought us together, in this holy place, to be a beacon of hope in carrying forth the Great Commission:

Jesus came and said to the eleven disciples, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28.18-20)

Please join me in praying the Collect for last Sunday’s special liturgy: O God of unchangeable power and eternal light: Look favorably on your whole Church, that wonderful and sacred mystery; by the effectual working of your providence, carry out in tranquility the plan of salvation; let the whole world see and know that things which were cast down are being raised up, and things which had grown old are being made new, and that all things are being brought to their perfection by him through whom all things were made, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Confidens in Deo.
